Image is looking south east from the Wheatfield Road with the obelisk marking the spot where Brigadier General Samuel K. Zook was mortally wounded dominating the fore ground. Visible in the background are both Little and Big Round Top and between them and the monument is the famous “Wheatfield.”

Paper image and mount have light surface dirt. Beige stock is marked on left border “J. A. DANNER / BATTLEFIELD MUSEUM / GETTYSBURG, PA.” and along right bottom of mount is “ZOOK MONUMENT.” Both stampings are weak with the Danner stamp being double struck. Image contrast is good but faded.

Reverse has strong and clear Mumper & CO. stamp.
