This leaf candy dish has raised design of pinecones and pine needles. In the center of this is a round medallion with an image of the Pennsylvania State Memorial. This item is dated 1940—50. Underside is maker marked, “BURWOOD”. The Burwood Products Company of Traverse City, Michigan made items out of “burwood”, a composite material of wood pulp and plastic that could be molded. They were a large producer of souvenir items that were sold across the U.S.
Dish measures 8” x 12” x 1 ½” high. Very good condition with no cracks. [SM]
