Dark blue hardcover volume with the title in gold on the spine and the outline of a MOLLUS medal in gold on the upper right corner of the front cover. Exterior is very clean with only minor surface dirt in spots. Volume meas. approx. 6.25 x 9.25.

The title page of the volume reads “THE GETTYSBURG PAPERS VOLUME 1” at top center followed by “COMPILED BY KEN BANDY AND FLORENCE FREELAND.” Published by Morningside Press in 1986. Volume I ends at page 483 with the title page for Volume2 on page 484. With index and several foldout maps the book runs 1097 pages.
