Excavated “eagle” button in good condition. Coat size with straight shank. Mix of brown and green patina. Backmark is difficult to read due to dirt. Recovered from the Sherfy Farm property.
From the collection of Ron Miller, brother of noted Gettysburg relic hunter Ed Miller. Ron was born in Gettysburg and was a teacher by profession. He walked and hunted the surrounding farm fields his entire life in search of relics. He was a member of the Adams County Historical Society and the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania. [jet] [ph:L]
