Excavated New York State seal button in excellent condition. Cuff size with straight shank. Smooth patina with 90% gilt remaining. Backmark is well worn. Recovered from Sherfy’s Peach Orchard.
From the collection of Ron Miller, brother of noted Gettysburg relic hunter Ed Miller. Ron was born in Gettysburg and was a teacher by profession. He walked and hunted the surrounding farm fields his entire life in search of relics. He was a member of the Adams County Historical Society and the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania. [jet] [ph:L]
