Pamphlet meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches and runs 36 pages. Cover has a color illustration of crossed Union and Confederate flags flanked by a Union and Confederate soldiers. At bottom center is “THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG.”

Interior contains a biography of artist Paul Philippoteaux, a map and short synopsis of the battle of Gettysburg, several pages listing names and units of men who fought in the battle and have visited the cyclorama painting in Chicago, a description of the painting and an order of battle for both the Union and Confederate armies. There are also numerous wonderful and entertaining period advertisements.

Pamphlet is in very nice condition with one small chip in the lower front corner of the cover.  [ad] [ph:L]
