Creamer sized pitcher features a transferware pattern of Devil’s Den on bone china. The Bottom of the decal reads “DEVIL’S DEN GETTYSBURG/1863.” The top of the pitchers is a light/sky blue, and the base is an off-white. Both the rim and base of pitcher has a scalloped edge.
Item measures 3 ¼” tall by 1 ¾” in circumference at the base. No chips or cracks.
On the bottom is a maker’s stamp, “WHEELOCK/ MADE IN GERMANY/FOR/ GETTYSBURG JEWELRY/ SOUVENIR CO./ GETTYSBURG. PA.” The Wheelock company was housed in Wisconsin and imported souvenir china from various overseas locations. [mk] [ph:L]
