Known as “Ruby” or “Cranberry” glass, these were popular as early souvenirs. The cup measures approximately 3 ½” tall 2 ¾” in diameter. Etched into the red on front is, “GETTYSBURG/ 1913”, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.  On reverse reads “GERTRUDE.”  The item’s base is hobnail and waffle patterned pressed glass.  The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or scratches. Handle on one side, fluted base, and waffle pattern on bottom shaped into a star. A very attractive souvenir.  [mc] [ph:L]
