Image clarity and contrast is excellent and the paper and mount are good.
Reverse has photographer’s imprint for TH. GUBELMAN…PULASKI, TENN. Bottom is signed in period ink “YOURS CAPT. G. A. TAYLOR.” Top left corner has a faint “YOURS” where Taylor started to sign the image and then changed his mind and signed it below the photographers mark.
Taylor was commissioned captain of Company E on August 30, 1861 and resigned the following December 1. [ad]
