$425.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 88-147

A Zulu war era lot of regalia to a British light artillery officer which includes a silver trimmed full-dress vest with ball buttons. A silver bullion officer's forage cap or "pill box"; it is maker marked inside.  A pair of fine boots which retain their original silver-plated spurs and come with 2 additional metal and iron mesh undress straps. A silver bullion sword hanger is here, and finally a gorgeous silver embroidered dispatch case done in the finest of stump work with its over the silver bullion shoulder strap which has beautifully executed silver mounts. The dispatch case has suffered in its dark blue wool backing from insects, but this does not affect overall the beauty. It also has the original foul weather cover. Also included is a rare forage cap aka pill box for an enlisted artilleryman with white wool braid and frogging, the first we have seen!  A very nice grouping.  [pe] [ph:L]
