Fantastic condition buff leather sword belt. The exterior leather surfaces are very clean and in excellent condition. The leather is strong and supple with no weak spots. Both the sword hangers are present and match condition perfectly. All brass hardware is present as well. The white interior surface of the leather shows some surface dirt from age and storage.

The only missing piece is the shoulder support strap (Sam Brown belt).

The belt plate is the Pattern 1851 NCO plate with applied German silver wreath. The keeper has a bench mark “359” while the plate is marked “154”.

This item is a terrific example of a Civil War sword-belt.  [jet] [ph:L]
