Standard issue US waist belt with plate.
Leather is in nice supple condition but has lost its surface finish and now has a brown appearance. Belt is complete with brass keeper and a nice Pattern 1839 oval belt plate.
Plate has both of the arrow hooks and tongue on the reverse with 100% of the lead fill. The face has a good strong “US” stamping with a light patina and several small spots of green discoloration.
Stamped into the leather behind the plate is a hard to read maker’s mark and “PITTSBURGH.” [ad] [ph:L]
