Face still has some original gilt hidden beneath the surface dirt and a light patina. Eagle stamping is excellent. Edge has small dent just above the eagle’s right wing.

Reverse has 100% of the lead fill and both attachment loops.

Original Civil War plate sold by Stokes Kirk military surplus store of Philadelphia back in the 1950’s & 60’s.  [AD] [ph:L]
