Leather belt is in excellent condition. Two-inch-wide buff leather dyed black on front. There are maker’s and sub-inspector’s stamps near the end with the “keeper” but are very hard to see because of the rough surface of the buff leather. The belt plate is the Model 1839 oval “US” and has “arrow” hooks, tongue and 100% of the lead fill on the back. The face has a nice clean original finish.

The one-inch-wide brass “keeper” remains firmly attached at the other end.
