Leather box, w/24 stitched loops for .45-70 carbine cartridges, used during Indian War-era. The leather portion of “US” embossed front exhibits light cracking, as do the sides. Rivets and stitching tight. Front finial strap worn but intact. Reverse belt loops fine, interior clean. Overall, VG. Good Indian War display piece. [jp]
