CDV is of Jackson in left profile wearing a light-colored double-breasted frock coat with the insignia of a Confederate general clearly visible on his collar.
Clarity is excellent with good contrast. Paper and mount are good but there is some minor scattered surface dirt. Bottom center of the mount has imprinted publishing information dated 1863 for the eastern district of Virginia.
Reverse is blank but for some collector information.
After Generals Lee and Grant, Stonewall Jackson is one of the best-known names in Civil War history and his accomplishments and exploits are legendary. [ad] [ph:L]
