Nice view of a young Union private standing with one hand resting on a low Doric column. He wears a dark commercial forage cap, open dark frock coat, matching dark vest with watch chain and light trousers.

Clarity and contrast is excellent. Mount has surface dirt around the edges. Top edge of paper has small chip.
