CDV shows an unidentified soldier standing by a balustrade. He wears a dark mounted overcoat, dark commercial sack coat with matching vest and trousers. In his right hand he holds a dark forage cap with just visible embroidered crossed cannons on the front of the crown.

Image has good clarity and contrast. Mount and paper have minor surface dirt from age and storage.

Reverse has photographer’s imprint for B. LOEB…WASHINGTON, D.C.  [ad]
