Image is a full standing CDV of a young, clean shaven officer posed by a cloth covered table holding his kepi in his right hand.

The subject wears a dark frock coat with three piece buttons down the front and 1st Lieutenant of staff shoulder straps and matching dark trousers. He also wears his sword belt with shoulder support strap and Model 1840 medical officer’s sword at his side. Barely visible on the front of his kepi is a wreath with what looks like the letters “US” at center, however it is difficult to be certain.

Image has good clarity and contrast. Paper and mount are good.

Reverse has photographer’s imprint for JAS. L. WARNER AGT…BROADWAY, N.Y.  [AD]
