View is off a tall thin Union officer wearing a dark frock coat and light trousers. The frock has a black felt collar with narrow shoulder straps. Beneath the coat the officer wears a dark military vest with a thin bowtie around his neck.
The woman has one hand resting on the officer’s arm. She wears a solid color dress with frilled decorated sleeves, white undersleeves and a bodice that has buttons down the front.
Image has good clarity and contrast. Image and mount are in good condition with only light surface dirt from age and storage.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for BOWMAN & RAWSON… PERU & LA SALLE. There is also a blue 2 cent US tax stamp attached. [ad]
