This is a Civil War period CDV copy of a tintype or albumen of a soldier. The subject stands by a chair. He wears a dark Pattern 1858 dress hat with an infantry hunting horn on the front with a Company letter C or G, dark frock coat and light trousers.
Image has good clarity and contrast. Paper and mount are in good condition.
