$195.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 224-578

CDV is of an unidentified Federal 1st lieutenant posed by a draped balustrade a-la Napoleon with one hand tucked in his coat.

The subject wears a dark forage cap with an infantry hunting horn insignia peeking out from under the fold in the crown, a dark frockcoat with 1st lieutenant shoulder straps and matching dark trousers with a thin light leg stripe. At his waist is his sword belt minus the sword, but with the drops looped up and held in place by the waist hook.

Clarity and contrast are excellent. Mount and paper are clean.

Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for T. M. SCHLEIER’S … NASHVILLE, TENN. There is also some collector information at bottom.  [ad] [ph:L]
