This CDV photograph is a three-quarter seated view of an unidentified Confederate Captain. Image is clear with good contrast. The photographer made several touch-ups including captain's insignia on collar, shading on jacket, and shadows on the backdrop. Plain mount with top corners trimmed. Pencil name "Dollie" along bottom edge. Photographer's backmark, F.J. Rees, Richmond, Va. A pencil presentation is on the back but there is no specific name.
