CDV OF UNIDENTIFIED CONFEDERATE CAPTAIN, MACON BACKMARK

$300.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1138-596

Seated studio view of unidentified Confederate captain in uniform. He wears a single-breasted jacket with shoulder straps and a forage cap on his head. The image is clear with very good contrast. Likely a second generation photo as the buttons look to have been gilted on the original and appear "covered" here. Photographer's backmark, Pugh's Portrait Gallery, Macon, Ga.

From the collection of the late William Turner.  [jet] [ph:L]
