Early image, circa 1850, shows a waist up view of a lady wearing a dark colored silk dress with wide white lace collar. She wears a large brooch which has been highlighted by the photographer. Image is clear with good contrast. Oxidation has occurred on plate, mainly on edges.

Image comes housed in half leatherette case with decorative mat. Case shows minor wear.  [sl]
