Case shows an embossed floral border with central image of a little girl holding a basket. Hinges and clasps are fully functional. Case is meant to fit two eighth plate sized images. Right side shows a daguerreotype image of an older man and young boy. Man is wearing a dark colored frock coat and trousers with white shirt, silk vest and cravat. Boy is wearing a very fancy military style jacket with a ruffled white shirt. Image is under glass and has a brass mat.

Maker’s label for Littlefield, Parson’s & Co. is present to the left of image. Inside of case is lined in embossed wine-colored velvet.

Measures approximately 3 ¾” by 6 ¼”.  Edges of case show some very small chips.  [SL]
