Left half of the split leather case holds a nice clear image of a hefty, late middle-aged man in a dark suit and vest with a white shirt and dark bowtie. Image is very clear but does have some faint rub marks or scratches on either side of the subject. These are only visible if you hold the image at an angle. Upper right has a small area of discoloration. The subject’s cheeks are also lightly tinted.

The right half of the case holds a very nice image of a mother and her young son. The woman appears to be about the same age as the gentleman on the companion half of the case. She is seated with her arms crossed in her lap. She wears a dark dress with a white lace collar and a white lace snood. The boy looks to be about 7 or 8 years old and stands next to his mother in a Napoleonic type pose with one hand thrust in the front of his coat. He wears a dark button down jacket with matching trousers.

Image is very clear and clean.

Both images have plain brass mats with delicately scrolled frames.

Case exterior shows average wear.  [ad]
