Early image, circa 1850, shows a waist up, seated view of a man and his wife. Man is wearing a dark colored frock coat, vest, white shirt and cravat. Woman is wearing a dark colored dress with white collar and cuffs. She wears a brooch and ear bobs. Image is clear with good contrast. Light oxidation has occurred on plate.

Image comes housed in half leatherette case with decorative mat. Case shows minor wear.  [sl][ph:L]
