The unidentified subject wears a double-breasted frockcoat with gilt tinted buttons and on his collar are the three gilt bars of a captain. The cheeks have also been slightly tinted with rose.

Image has excellent clarity, contrast is a bit dark.

Case is rather unusual in that it is an octagon Union case with a floral and scroll decoration. The condition of the case is excellent. Hinges wiggle just a bit.  [ad] [ph:L]
