DOUBLE 1/6 PLATE OUTDOOR TINTYPE OF ARMED UNION SOLDIERS

$2,000.00 SOLD
Originally $2,950.00

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: P14001

Hard thermo-plastic case with a 1/6 plate tintype image housed on each side.  Both images were recorded in the same location as evidenced by the over grown back ground and items in the fore ground.

The image on the left is of three soldiers. One standing and armed with an Enfield rifle, one kneeling and dipping a cup into a bucket, and an officer with a cup leaning on his sword. Buttons and buckles have been gilded and trousers lightly tinted blue.

The image on the right is of a single, fully equipped soldier holding a model 1855 rifle musket.

Both images feature copper mats and frames. The thermo-plastic case is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.

This is a great pair of outdoor images full of interesting details.   [jet] [ph:L]
