1/4-PLATE TINTYPE OF UNIDENTIFIED CONFEDERATE SOLDIER

$975.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 2024-1094

This is a very fine image of a seated Confederate soldier in uniform. This is a 1/4-plate tintype with oval mat and glass cover, but no wrapped frame; all in a half case.

Soldier wears a jacket with button-down shoulder tabs, a military style vest, and trousers. Cheeks are tinted and buttons and a pocket watch chain are all gilted. Contrast is very good.

A great view of a Confederate soldier.  [jet] [ph:L]
