This is a very interesting image. A sixth-plate tintype featuring a man and woman, well dressed in civilian clothes, each holding a trapdoor rifle with bayonets fixed. The image is very clear with perfect contrast, leaving all details visible.

This photo is mounted in the usual way with copper mat and glass, held together with a copper frame, and housed in a leatherette case. The case shows rubbing wear to the exterior and the hinge has an old repair with cloth tape.  [jet] [ph:L]
