This photograph features two young, armed soldiers posed in uniform. They wear post-Civil War army uniforms: 5-button sack coats, crossed rifle insignia on caps, and carrying shorter trapdoor rifles. One of the soldiers wears corporal chevrons. Clarity and contrast are good.
