Offered here is a sixth plate tintype of a woman in a elaborately trimmed dress. Her dark dress features white cloth-covered buttons down the front and wide, white tape ribbon sewn over the dress. This lady has such a narrow waist that she must be ready to faint! She also wears earrings, bow tie, and pendant necklace. Her cheeks are lightly tinted.

Image is clear with good contrast. Typically framed under glass, copper mat, and with copper frame wrapping. Housed in a hard Union case with purple velvet lining opposite. Case features an ornate design known as “flowers and grapes” with floral scrolls framing a central medallion depicting cornucopias. Case remains in very fine condition with only a thinnest of cracks emanating from the location of the clasp. [jet][ph:L]
