Offered here is a two-inch section of a railroad “rail”. Called a “Pear Rail” due to its shape. Measures 3.25” tall x 3.25” across bottom x 2” thick. Recovered near Manassas, Virginia and was from the Orange & Alexandria line. In “dug” condition being pitted overall; but has been cleaned and reserved. Clean cuts and all burrs have been ground off.
Comes with old hand written note detailing location of find.
