Excavated brass “clipped corner” belt plate. Smooth brown patina with traces of surface dirt. Belt plate is flat with no bends, cracks, or folds. Back of plate has tongue and faint solder marks where the belt loop was once attached. This is the original tongue which since detached and has been glued.
A field repair was done by punching two holes as a secondary method of attaching to the belt.
Very nice belt plate. [jet] [ph:L]
