Offered here is the excavated barrel and trigger from a Belgian-made percussion pistol.
The piece is iron and measures about 6” long overall. The 3” long octagonal barrel is .45 caliber. A percussion nipple is mounted on the top.
Engraving is visible on the sides of the frame. A small oval Liege proof mark is still visible on the left side.
The trigger remains, sticking out of the bottom.
In very good condition for a dug relic. Recovered near Orange, Virginia. [jet] [ph:L]
