This is a small iron mass containing three Spencer cartridges. Recovered from a ship wreck off Myrtle Beach. The ship is believed to be either the Suwanee or the Governor.
The iron mass that holds these together is from iron cargo (many cannon balls) that dissolved in the salt water and combined with the sand to form this “concrete”. Comes in wood display box. [jet] [ph:L]
