Wartime blue ribbon with black printing. Item meas. approx. 1.75 x 4.25 inches.
The bulk of the ribbon is taken up with a bust view of Lyon in uniform. Above his head in German is “VORWARTS!” or “FORWARD!” Followed by “THY RADICALISM SAVED MISSOURI.” This is followed by a laurel wreath with “N. LYON MAY 10, 1861” at center.
Below the bust is “RADICALISM THE ONLY SALVATION MAY 10, 1861.”
Top edge is slightly browned and bottom edge has a small chip. [ad]
