This softbound pamphlet meas. approx. 5.00 x 8.00 inches and runs 12 pages. The full title as listed on the front cover is “IN MEMORIAM – TRIBUTES TO THE SOLDIER DEAD. DEDICATED TO THE SURVIVING COMRADES OF THE FIFTY-NINTH INDIANA VOLUNTEER INFANTRY BY A COMRADE.” At bottom is “TWENTY-SECOND ANNUAL REUNION, HYMERA INDIANA, SEPTEMBER 3D AND 4TH, 1907.”
Interior contains two short biographies of Private Alonzo R. Gray of Company B and Indiana Medal of Honor Recipient Henry Ware Lawton.
Alonzo Gray enlisted as a private in October of 1861 in Company B, 59th Indiana and mustered out April 4, 1865.
Henry Ware Lawton served in the 9th and 30th Indiana and rose from sergeant to colonel being awarded a Medal of Honor for his actions at Atlanta. He served in the regular Army was killed fighting in the Philippines in 1899.
Pamphlet has a fold crease running vertically just off center. Interior and exterior are both clean. [AD] [ph:L]
