The top bar of the badge consists of an engineer castle superimposed over a pontoon boat all done in brass with the pin on the reverse.

Suspended from the bar is a 3.50 inch solid red ribbon with gold lettering that reads “43^RD ANNUAL REUNION ENGINEER BRIGADE ARMY OF THE POTOMAC CORNING, N.Y. AUG. 28, 1913.”
