Small souvenir pennant meas. approx. 5.00 inches on the hoist x 12.00 inches on the fly. Hoist end has four blue felt ties. Pennant is made of a dark gray felt that has faded some over the years.
Inked on the left end of the pennant is a battle scene of soldiers behind a breastwork in the woods firing at an unseen enemy. In white next to the scene is “BATTLE OF NEW MARKET, VA. MAY 15, 1864.”
But for minor scattered surface dirt and three faint thumb tack marks, the item is in very nice condition. [ad] [ph:L]
