Top hangar features a brass spread-winged eagle over crossed cannons. Original pin remains on reverse but hook for pin is missing. Suspended from hangar is a light blue grosgrain ribbon, which has frayed at the bottom. Round medal was originally attached, but is separated from the ribbon splitting. The face shows the G.A.R. seal surrounded by wording, "GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC VETERAN / 1861 - 1866". Reverse shows a laurel wreath with wording that reads, "16th ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT G.A.R. BALTIMORE 1882".
