Called the Hofthohlladung (Hh13) or Panzerknacker (tank buster), this grenade was thrown at or manually attached to an enemy tank. It’s three magnets would secure the grenade to the tank. The grenade was a shaped charge and could penetrate up to 140mm of armor which was effective against all WW2 armored vehicles. It could also penetrate 20 inches of concrete and could be used against bunkers.

The grenade came in two versions, the H3 version weighed 3 Kg and the H3.5 weighed 3.5 Kg. In May 1944, the Panzerfaust replaced it , but the remaining Panzerknackers were used until stockpiles were exhausted.

This relic consists of the three magnets and the grenades inner funnel. The magnets have some surface rust with remnants of the original base attached. The magnets still maintain their original shape. The upper portion of the inner funnel is in good condition but half of the lower rim that attaches to the base and outer funnel, is missing. With the parts is a cutout paper pattern for constructing a base if desired.

These parts are great for a World War Two collector/reenactor or for restoration. [ad] [ph:L]
