Axe has a contoured wood handle painted OD green. Handle is unmarked and the paint is worn off in areas.
The head of the axe also has remnants of OD green paint. It has a good edge that does show two small nicks.
Khaki canvas carrier is in very good condition and is marked on the reverse with a faint maker’s mark and “9-18” for September of 1918. Closure strap and buckle are present and in good condition. [AD] [PH:L]
