Die struck steel, box type buckle with a nickel- or silver-plated finish. It features a smooth outer field with a central embossed Hitler Youth style national eagle with down-swept wings, clutching a Hitler Youth diamond and swastika on a pebbled background. The eagle is within a circular ribbed border with a simulated twisted rope on both the inner and outer edges. The ribbed circular border has an embossed motto in Gothic script that reads "BLUT UND EHRE", (Blood and Honor).

The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse. The reverse has the keeper and the prong bar with two prongs. Buckle has no maker’s mark.   [ad] ph:L]
