This is a wonderful, little pocket-sized oiler made like a small powder horn, with a small suspension chain fitting two rings on either side of the flat top so that it could be hung up at a work bench and made with a flat, slightly oval, almost teardrop bottom so that it could also stand up. The neck is internally threaded to fit the applicator, which has a round, flat top. It shows use, but the condition is very good. The metal is bright with some light scratches on the base. The body of the horn is a thin caramel brown at bottom shading to cream toward the top, with some darker brown areas and scratches. This would make a nice “go-with” in a group of gunsmith, lock, or clockmaking tools. [SR] [PH:m/L]
