DE-NAZIFIED WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN SINGLE DECAL MODEL 1935 ARMY HELMET

$475.00 ON HOLD

Quantity Available: 1

Item Code: 1176-18

Helmet is the Model 1935 with rolled edge and rivet type air vents.

Helmet is painted dark green over an earlier apple green. The left side has a painted over Army decal.

The exterior dark green paint is heavily chipped revealing the lighter paint beneath. All three liner rivets are present. The rolled edge is in good condition and free of dents.

The interior of the helmet shows more of the earlier light green color. The dark brown leather liner exhibits some minor wear from use. The crown has eight tongues drawn together by a replacement drawstring. One of the tongues is torn near the top. There is no marking in the crown. Chinstrap is complete.

The left side of the shell is marked on the inside “Q64” which means the helmet was manufactured by the Quist factory of Germany and is a size 64 centimeters. The Quist factory made size 64 Model 1940 helmet shells into late 1944. The back skirt of the helmet bears lot number “2903” or “2003.” Painted over the lot number is “UFFZ. LASSADHER.”  [ad] [ph:L]
