Shipping Policy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SHIPMENT OF CARTRIDGES CONTAINING BLACK POWDER - We are required to ship black powder cartridges by UPS only.  The shipping charge will be a minimum of $20.00 east of the Mississippi, and $25 west of the Mississippi. Additional charges may be added dependant upon the shipping destination. Insurance is an additional $5.00 if requested.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As of August 2, 2016, UPS will now be levying a surcharge on all packages that we ship that are over 42" in length. They are now hand carrying large packages in their warehouses instead of sending them on their conveyor belts.

Because of this increase, we must now charge an additional $10.00 when shipping carbines, swords and longarms, and any other item that requires packaging over that length

Our charges for shipment of all other UPS packages remain the same, as well as shipping via US Mail.

See below for updated rates.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All packing/shipping/insurance is paid by the customer. As a general rule we prefer to ship by UPS. All fees quoted below refer to shipment within the US. Please inquire for foreign shipping. We are not charging any additional handling fees, only what UPS charges us plus the cost of our specially made boxes.
Our basic UPS fee is now $20.00 east of the Mississippi, $25.00 west of the Mississippi. Insurance on these smaller sized UPS packages is an additional $5.00. Additional fees may be added for those packages which are oversized and/or heavier in weight.
Our standard UPS fee for shipping carbines and swords / sabers is now $45.00 east of the Mississippi, and $60.00 west of the Mississippi. The charge for longarms is now $55.00 east of the Mississippi and $75.00 west of the Mississippi. These fees cover the cost of our shipping boxes ($10.00) as well as insurance.
Framed or shrunkwrap prints/paintings, etc. that need to be shipped flat and the package measures over 30" in length or width:  $35.00 - 40.00 east of the Mississippi, and $50.00 - $60.00 west of the Mississippi. Those charges cover the cost of our boxes as well as insurance.  Additional amounts may be charged if the package is exceptionally heavy.
We will ship Overnight or 2nd Day Air for an additional fee. Please inquire for rates for the specific item you wish to be shipped.
We will also ship via US Mail if requested. The minimum charge for a Priority Mail package is $10.00; we will still ship very small items/documents via 1st Class Mail for $6.00. Note that charge for Priority Mail shipping west of the Mississippi is now $15.00. Insurance if requested is an additional $5.00. Shipping charges will be revised upwards accordingly with the size and weight of the package.
ALL HIGH VALUE PACKAGES SHIPPED VIA UPS ARE SECURED WITH NON-TAMPER TAPE. IF ANY PACKAGE ARRIVES AND YOU NOTICE ANY POSSIBLE PROBLEMS, INFORM YOUR UPS DRIVER AND OPEN THE PACKAGE IN THEIR PRESENCE.
***YOU MUST KEEP THE BOX AND PACKING MATERIAL
THAT THE ITEM(S) WERE SHIPPED IN.***
IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE TO AN ITEM YOU RECEIVE WHICH IS DELIVERED BY UPS OR THE US POSTAL SERVICE, OR IF YOUR ITEM DOES NOT ARRIVE IN A TIMELY FASHION, PLEASE CONTACT US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO THAT WE MAY INVESTIGATE AND/OR FILE A CLAIM.
Special shipping is required for framed items, both modern and vintage. Any framed item purchased will be disassembled in order to remove the glass. This means that the backing will be removed, and the glass will be packed separately. We will make every attempt to insure that the glass will reach you safely, but we cannot guarantee it and are not responsible for replacement if broken. Any frame shop can re-seal the backing.
IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO US TO DISASSEMBLE THE PIECE, PLEASE INFORM US AS SUCH. ANY DAMAGE INCURRED DUE TO BREAKAGE OF GLASS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER.
Thank You,
