Chest up view of a cleanshaven Confederate wearing either a Columbus Depot or Peter Tait jacket. Coat is a light color with a dark collar. At least five buttons are visible down the front. The top two are buttoned and there are a few more at bottom that are not visible in the photo. Jacket has no epaulettes. Just visible below the jacket is a dark vest open to show a white shirt.

Image has excellent clarity and the contrast is good.

Photo is housed in a complete repaired leather case with standard stamped brass mat and frame with scrollwork and floral decorations.  [AD]
